It’s been so freaking long, I forgot what a win felt like…and I actually had to search for my red marker to mark the game on my calendar…
But, yes, they won this one, and behind excellent pitching by Jon Lester, with 6 1/3 innings of 2 hit, scoreless baseball. He threw 84 pitches, 52 for strikes while walking 1 and striking out 7. Looks like he really didn’t have any after effects from his beaning last Friday night….
