Matt Holliday announced on ESPN radio he’d come to terms with the Cardinals on a 7-year, $120 million contract that will keep him in St. Louis through 2017. I went to Cot’s Baseball Contracts to see if they had any specifics, and they do:
- 7 years/$120M (2010-16), plus 2017 option
- re-signed by St. Louis as a free agent 1/10
- $17M 2017 option guaranteed with top 10 finish in 2016 MVP vote
- full no-trade clause
