I’ve been calling Fernando Martinez “Six-Four-Three” since the middle of last season. I even dedicated a t shirt to him which you can find here.
After last night, I’m changing his nickname to Fernando “La Cabra” Tatis.
Tatis’ boneheaded base running mistake cost Mets fans their first opportunity to turn on David Wright for not coming through in the clutch.
Last night’s game was a tough one to sit through, and the truth is, I didn’t sit through the entire thing.
It was the first time I’ve left a Mets game early since this epic.
It’s going to be a busy day at the office so this may be all you hear from me today as I think about the next three starters taking the mound for the Mets and quietly shake my head in disbelief.
I’d like to take this time to wish Nelson Figueroa the best of luck. I’m setting the official over/under on number of times he beats the Mets this year at three.
I’m disgruntled already and we’re only two games deep!
