Boy oh boy do the Tampa Bay Rays look impressive this season.

Lead by a near dominating performance from Matt Garza, the Rays downed the Orioles in game two of the 2010 season by a score of 4-3.

Garza went 8 strong innings, allowing just four hits and two runs one his way to striking out 9. Newly acquired closer Rafael Soriano came in for the top of the 9th inning, and gave up two hits and one run, but was still able to notch his first save as the Rays closer.

Other news worth talking about, slugging third baseman Evan Longoria hit his second home run of the season, though this one was not as impressive as his 473 foot blast in the season opener on Tuesday night.

Carlos Pena also looked strong at the plate, going 2-4 with a double.

The Tampa Bay Rays will look to close out the series with a win tonight against the Orioles. Last years most solid pitcher for the Rays, Jeff Niemann will look to build off of the success from his strong rookie campaign, as he faces off against Orioles youngster Brian Matusz.
