Andrew McCutchen and Matt Diaz Reunited:
Back when Matt Diaz was in the minor leagues and Andrew McCutchen was just a tiny tyke, Diaz gave McCutchen hitting lessons. I’m not sure how much McCutchen learned, considering this tidbit courtesy of Diaz:
“After about the third lesson, I said to Cutch, ‘You don’t need to come back. I’ve got nothing for ya, buddy. Your hands already are faster than mine.”
But now the two will be reunited in the Pittsburgh outfield and can spend their days catching up with one another while eating Primanti Brothers sandwiches.
